For more information, visit www.adient.com . The Production Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, timely, and high-quality manufacturing of car covers. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, optimizing manufacturing processes, and leading cross-functional teams to meet production targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The Production Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports lean manufacturing principles, and ensures alignment with organizational goals to deliver superior products that meet customer expectations in a highly competitive and fast-paced industry. What will your responsibilities be? Production Operations
- Execute daily production activities to ensure targets are met within scheduled timeframes.
- Follow directives from the Senior Operations Manager in alignment with job responsibilities.
- Continuously improve production processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
- Coordinate production activities to meet long-term planning goals, particularly for sewing operations.
- Allocate resources and skills effectively to meet production plans within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Support the Engineering Department in implementing layout changes within the production unit.
- Ensure proper implementation of work instructions as defined by the Engineering and Quality Departments.
- Identify and propose improvements to work processes to optimize productivity and ensure compliance with procedures and operational standards.
- Detect areas lacking defined processes and collaborate with Engineering to establish them.
- Perform all administrative tasks related to the role.
- Promote high standards of behavior and ensure team members understand and uphold these standards.
- Foster a high-performance culture by encouraging team input and continuous improvement.
- Monitor individual team member performance and provide guidance and feedback as needed.
- Respond promptly to customer expectations and CR/CSR requirements, aiming to exceed expectations.
- Assist in LPA (Layered Process Audit), 5S audits, and Adient Manufacturing System assessments.
- Engineering degree
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive production management experience, with at least 3 years in a production manager role in the automotive industry ideally in the textile or sewing fields.
- Strong knowledge of production management systems, standards, and methodologies.
- Proven experience in leading production improvement initiatives and managing audits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.
